Save a channel picture without inventing extra quality

Profile images are often display crops of the uploaded artwork.

Find the right channel

Copy the channel page link or its @handle. Supported inputs also include channel/UC identifiers and legacy user or c paths. A watch link belongs in the video thumbnail tool.

The resolver reads only the public channel header’s avatar images. It does not collect the portraits of suggested channels or the images of unrelated videos.

Available size is not original size

The source may offer several small square images. The tool saves those exact public files and measures them; it does not replace URL parameters to claim an unsupported HD original.

A circular avatar on the website can originate from a square file whose edges contain padding or a source-side crop. Inspect the saved file before including it in a layout.

Use and permissions

Brand marks and photographs can carry separate rights. Saving a public profile picture does not give permission to imitate a channel or imply a commercial relationship. Request permission for your intended use.
